What We Take FAQS

  • Can I Mix Different Types of Waste in a Single Dumpster?

Yes! For our 10 to 40 Yard Dumpsters, a mix of various non-prohibited items is acceptable, making them versatile for a wide range of projects.

  • What Happens If I Accidentally Include Prohibited Items?

Including prohibited items may result in additional fees to cover the extra costs of handling and disposing of these materials properly.  For 10 to 40 Yard Dumpsters, prohibited items incur a $150 fee.

  • Why Are Mattresses, Tires, and Freon Items Charged Separately?

Mattresses and tires require special disposal methods due to their materials and environmental impact. The fees ($25 per mattress, $10 per tire, $100 per item with freon) cover the costs associated with their proper recycling or disposal.

  • How Can I Dispose of Hazardous Waste?

Legacy Dumpster Rental does not accept hazardous waste or items due to safety and environmental regulations. We recommend contacting the Sedgwick County Hazardous Materials facility, or your local waste management authority or a specialized disposal service for guidance on safely disposing of these items.

  • What Should I Do If My Project Requires Disposal of Both Allowed and Prohibited Materials?

If your project involves both allowed and prohibited materials, plan for separate disposal solutions. Use Legacy Dumpster Rental for non-hazardous waste and seek alternative disposal methods for prohibited items. Our team can offer advice on handling mixed waste types.
